Mark Franklin Corbitt, 50, died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home in Lueders, Texas.

Mr. Corbitt was born December 12, 1962 in Amarillo, Texas, to Frank and Mary Faye (Conner) Corbitt.

Mark graduated from Canyon High School in 1981 in Canyon, Texas He moved to Lueders from Hillsboro in 2010. He worked as a self employed auto repair mechanic and was an avid Nascar fan.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, A.F. "Frank" and Greta Corbitt of Lueders, Texas; one son Jeffrey Mark Franklin Corbitt and wife Christine of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister Shannon Gibson and husband Roger of Amarillo, Texas; and his little red dachshund named Scooter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Faye Conner Corbitt.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at Tankersley Funeral Home, 807 S. Columbia, Stamford, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013at Bethel Lutheran Church in Ericksdahl with the Rev. Teresa Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery under the direction of Tankersley Funeral Home.
