Bob and I are first cousins, along with sister Sharon. We all attended Richland Twp .school. I lived in Mellott until I graduated high school. Watched both Bob and Sharon grow up as small children. Have stayed in touch over the years . Mostly at the school re unions at Beef House. So sorry Patty and all Bobs family for your loss, he will be missed by so many . God Bless all of you.

During my time at Lowes I sought out advice from Bob about anything and everything I could. It meant more than I can explain to have his guidance as a young female working in a male dominated field. Even more, he would share his life experiences with me and his passion for woodworking and I felt a genuine bond. I was incredibly saddened when he retired but I knew he was so deserving. I missed visiting him in hardware and tools and Lowes was never the same without him. I admired Bob for working as hard and long as he did and I hope I have that same amount of energy when I hit that age. I hope his loved ones can find peace soon and know that Bob made an impact on many lives, and for me it was a positive genuine one!

We offer our condolences to Patty and family. We are blessed to have met Patty and Bob and formed friendships through our shared appreciation of antiquing and auctions.

Bob was a kind, easy-going guy, a master gardener, electrician, and carpenter, a bookworm, a history lover, unfortunately a Yankees fan, a seasoned long-distance traveler, and loved to tell lengthy, detailed stories to whoever would listen. He also had an encyclopedic knowledge of old tractors, baseball or basketball stats, and could remember the name of a small town in Kansas, or Wisconsin, or Montana he and Mom passed through on a trip ten years ago. He will be sorely missed, especially by those friends and family that loved him, and I would sure like to hear just one more of those long-winded stories again.

I have very fond memories of Bob. When I was a kid he always had a pair of pliers in his back pocket which he took out frequently and teased that he would use them to remove my freckles.
I also remember he had a good singing voice and introduced us kids to Marty Robbins by singing Big Iron and El Paso.
He will be sadly missed and I send my deepest condolences to all the family.

I always enjoy Bob's company. He love playing basketball at the lighted court behind my Dad's house. Ran into him a few times as he worked at Lowes. He enjoyed life and being with his friends. Glad I got to know him and always was a joy to see and talk to him. Will be missed I am sure.
