Cade Stoddard Obituary

Cade Thomas Stoddard, 16 years of age, born Dec. 13, 2000, in Rexburg, Idaho, returned to his Father in Heaven June 2, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Cade is survived by his mother, Tiffnie Ann Denson Stoddard, and his father, Gregory Layne Stoddard, of Salem, Idaho, as well as siblings Connor Layne, Ciera Ann and Cort Jace. Cade was loved by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, teammates, church leaders and many others. Cade loved everyone he associated with.
Cade loved to spend time with his siblings, friends and teammates playing board games, PlayStation and puzzles. Cade loved to play soccer and basketball at school and in the backyard with his friends and brothers. Cade has some of the best friends in the world.
Cade was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz and Pittsburg Steelers. Cade's only passion that was stronger was cheering on the Sugar-Salem Diggers no matter the sport or activity. Cade wanted to be on the first Sugar-Salem team to bring home a state title in soccer. Cade will be cheering his teammates on from the sideline. Cade is and always will be one of Sugar-Salem's biggest fans.
Cade enjoyed going on trips with his family and teasing his older and younger siblings with his witty sense of humor. Cade enjoyed four-wheeling and camping with his family.
Cade received the Aaronic priesthood and was ordained a priest. He loved fulfilling his duty in the priesthood by passing, preparing and blessing the sacrament. Cade especially enjoyed taking the sacrament to those who couldn't make it to church. Cade loved to give lessons in his church classes and learning about the Plan of Salvation. Cade gave service whenever he could and was a friend to all. Cade is truly one of Helaman's Stripling warriors. Cade was preparing to go on a mission and wanted to go to Germany. Cade has now been called to serve a mission on the other side of the veil.
In lieu of flowers we encourage all who wish to honor him to donate to the "Cade Stoddard Fund" at the Bank of Commerce. All proceeds will be used for a headstone in his behalf.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 9, at the LDS Henry's Fork Stake building on 1508 W. 3000 N., Rexburg, Idaho. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 8 from 5-8 p.m. at the Henry's Fork Stake Center and from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery. Condolences may be sent online to www.flammfh.com.

Hey Stoddard family. I love you guys, and i heard about Cade. I just wanted to say on the soccer team I can honestly say I looked up to him. He was always the nicest guy out on the field but worked hard at the same time. Always had a friendly smile, and fun to talk with. I cherish every memory with him. Love you guys and thank you for being such great examples in my life.

My sincerest condolences for your loss. Losing a loved one, especially so young leaves us with a variety of emotions and void. I hope you find comfort in knowing that in the future we won't have to worry about there being death anymore. Death will be a thing of the past. (1 Cor. 15: 25, 26)
