Clyda Cabral Obituary

Clyda Jean Cabral, 77, of Island Park, died at Madison Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 28, 2010.
Clyda was born March 6, 1933, in Rigby, to Alvin Rhodes Briggs and Zenda Atkinson Briggs. She was raised on a farm in Rigby and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from high school in 1955. She attended nursing school in Rexburg and worked as a registered nurse in San Jose, San Francisco and at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg as a surgical nurse. She married John Earl Cabral in August 1978 in San Jose, Calif. She enjoyed horses, dogs, backpacking and hiking. She was strong-willed and could do anything she set her mind to.
She is survived by her husband of Island Park; four daughters, Mary Lou Tischler of Oregon, Jeanne (Bob) Holbrook of Smithfield, Utah, Karen (Kent) Mann of Salt Lake City and Judy Brown of Island Park; two sons, Mark (Jerry) Cabral and Mike (Melody) Cabral, both of California; and a sister, Jackie (Paul) Gardner.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Max.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery with Bishop Terrell Kelly officiating. The family would appreciate condolences sent online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
