Ted Davis Obituary

Ted Miller Davis, 71, passed away on March 24, 2007. Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Five Mile Road LDS Chapel. Burial was at Dry Creek Cemetery.
Ted was born in St. Anthony on Aug. 8, 1935, to Afton Earl "Bud" Davis and Leona Jeanette Davis. He graduated from South Fremont High School as senior class president. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in London, England, and upon returning, graduated from Brigham Young University. He worked at BYU for several years but then became a businessman, opening a business in real estate education. That business spanned five states. He also at that time had a construction company, title company and an OSHA business. Ted ran for the legislature in Utah and served five terms in the House of Representatives, where he introduced and passed key legislation.
Ted was a man who loved his country, loved being an entrepreneur, loved his family and loved his God.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Davis; four daughters, Marci (Gordon) Hill of Harrissville, Utah, Sullivan Corinne Davis, Leona Ann Davis, Reagan Marie Davis of Boise; two sons, Brett Davis and Stewart Davis of Texas; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sally (Ted) Blake of St. Anthony.
Ted was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bud and Leona, and his brother, Rand D. Davis.
His family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, chaplains and all of those that cared for Ted at St. Luke's Hospital in downtown Boise during his passing. To all the family and friends that were there, thank you for all your love and support.

I'm very saddened to hear of Ted's passing. He was always such a fun person for me to be around and I loved him very much. I'm so glad to know that he is at peace now, with his loved ones that have gone on before. I was proud to know him and even prouder to know that we were related. My sincere condolences go to his family members.
