Archie Leon Bishop

Archie Leon Bishop died at the age of 88 at Saint Mary's Hospital on March 1, 2012 of Heart complications with his wife and daughter by his side.

He was born in Reno, Nevada on May 1, 1923 to Ruby & Leon Bishop. He married his loving wife Doris on April 20, 1947 and had one daughter Cheryl.

He served his country during WWII as a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp. He worked with his father at the Lincoln Garage and Richardson and Lovelock, he then worked at Springmeyer Equipment. Archie and his wife started his own business Nevada Metal Building Company, after retirement he stayed busy. He loved the outdoors, camping, snowmobiling and River rafting. He loved going to their Eagle Lake home. Archie loved flying his Airplane. Two years ago they moved to Winnemucca to be closer to the outdoors.

He will be deeply missed by his wife Doris and daughter Cheryl and his many friends.

We would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers and friends at this time.

At Archie's request, no services are planned a celebration of life will be at a later date.

Dear Doris: Archie had stopped by the store that week. Hal and I had a great conversation with Archie about flying, WWII and his charts. I wish we had more time together as he was such an interesting man. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter.
