Charles Flint Obituary

On August 10, 2015, Tom lost his courageous fourteen month battle against brain cancer. He was 68 years old, and passed peacefully at the Veteran's Hospital Community Living Center in Reno, Nevada.
He was born on July, 28 1947, in Hayward, California to Charles Dewey and Evelyn Laura Flint. He was the older of two children, with a sister, Roxanna Belle.
He grew up in Hayward, California, graduating from Sunset High School in 1965. Upon graduation, he joined the Air Force and went through basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, ultimately being stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, where he was an electrician working on F-4's. He served his country for four years. Upon his return, he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University in Hayward, California in 1972.
In 1998 he started his own companies, TJ Rigging, TF Electric and Tom Flint Overhead Crane Consultants.
He and his wife, Janice, were married August 2, 1985. Each brought children to the marriage, and one, Julianne Nicole, was born to them in 1987. He was a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather.
Tom was pre-deceased by his father, mother, sister, and infant granddaughter, Danianne Rose. He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters, Valerie Curd, Nicole Frost, and Julianne Flint, and five grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his care teams at the VA Community Living Center and Gentiva Hospice for their loving and dedicated care.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 400 Holcomb Ranch Lane, Reno, Nevada.
