Chris was born in Las Vegas to Allen Roberts and Mary Daly Roberts, proud to be a 5th generation Nevadan. At 3 years of age he moved with his parents to Reno where he lived all his life.
He was a talented artist, art framer, and "IT" guy. There wasn't a computer or program that he couldn't finesse. His career in computers started at Nevada Office Machine where he learned his trade and continued through IGT, Redhawk and finally his "dream job" as the "IT Guy" at Rail City.
Chris was preceded in death by his step-father, Lyle Buchanan. He is survived by his grandmother in Ireland, Nellie Daly; 6 uncles; mother, Mary Buchanan; father, Allen Roberts and step-mother, Karen Roberts. He was a proud single father to Aidan, Emma Rose, and Christopher. He leaves sisters: Meagan Faria, Roya Mason (Mike), Annessa Baker, and adopted sister Nikki Tisue; nephews: Tristan, Aaron, Ethan, Eric, Alex and Nathan, nieces: Katryn, Sasha and Krystal; fiancée, Char Knight; BFF, Robert Derbyshire; and longtime friend and confidant, April Miller. There are so many people that loved him.
There will be a private scattering in Nevada and a gathering of friends and family at Pah Rah Park on Vista on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 am.

Been thinking about you a lot lately Chris. Especially a lot since I became a father. I wish you could be here to see your granddaughter, I know she would´ve loved you as much as I do. I miss you every day. I hope wherever you are, you´re proud of the man that I became. The man you raised me to be. I hope that I get to see you again. One day.

I think of you and your family often. Something funny you may have said, your willingness to always help your kiddos teacher to get connected to the 21st century. There was not anything you would not do for those three. Aidan, Emma, and Christopher
