Christopher Samson Obituary
PFC Christopher J. Samson, 20, of Sparks, Nevada went to be with God on August 23, 2011. He was born January 24, 1991 in Reno, Nevada, the son of Cheryl Samson. He graduated from Edward C. Reed High School in 2009. He was currently enlisted in the Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton 9th Comm Division, San Diego, CA.
Chris was known for his kind heart, forever smirk and his wicked sense of humor. He was a talented artist and an accomplished motocross racer for many years. He enjoyed and loved the challenge of racing before entering the Marine Corps in 2009. It was a perfect match for his daredevil spirit.
Chris is survived by his mother, Cheryl Samson of Sparks, NV; maternal grandparents, Duke and Pat Samson, Harwood, ND; Aunts and Uncles, Dave and Andrea Samson, West Fargo, ND, Scott and Lisa Toenies, Hillsboro, ND; and cousins, Mikkaela and Shandon Toenies, Hillsboro, ND, and Tyler and Callie Rued, West Fargo, ND.
A military funeral will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:00 am at The Rock Church, 4950 Vista Boulevard, Sparks, NV. Reception to follow after the service.
The family requests memorials be made to the Christopher Samson Scholarship Fund.

We did not know Christopher, but our daughter also graduated from Reed and is serving overseas right now. For the 20 years we have known you Christopher was your fist priority. You managed-- through some very, very challenging times-- to be the very best Mom (and Dad!) a child could hope for and you provided Christopher with unconditional love beyond measure.
