Jason Templeton Obituary

Jason Shane Templeton

Everett, WA - We have lost a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Jason Shane Templeton passed away at his home in Everett, Washington, on January 7. Jason was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, on December 30, 1973. He attended Medlock Elementary School in Decatur, Georgia. His family moved to Reno, Nevada, in 1983, and he attended Peavine Elementary School, Clayton Middle School, and McQueen High School. Jason graduated from Truckee Meadows Community College in 2000 with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Environmental Control Technologies and Building Systems Maintenance. He worked for many years as an Environmental Control Systems specialist, first in Reno and Northern California, and then in Seattle, Washington. He loved the range and variety of his work; whenever he was asked what he did as a systems specialist, he shared that he "did just about everything, from writing software to scrambling up on the roof with a wrench." He loved to cook, often preparing multi-course dinners well into the night for family and friends.

Jason was a devoted and loving father to his son, Ayden, who was the light of his life. Jason was a dear friend, and an inspiration, to many. He cared deeply for those who struggled with so many of life's challenges, and he did his best to help them.

In addition to his son, Ayden Shane Templeton, Jason is survived by his parents Shane and Katherine Templeton; his brother and sister, Gavin Templeton and Kirstin Hudson; his nephew Ansel Hudson, his nieces Madeleine Hudson and Eliana Templeton; his aunt, Toni Templeton; Ayden's mother, Angela Strickfaden; his brother- and sister-in-law, Nate Hudson and Kari Kallas; and his cousin, Daniel Minshew.

We miss you dearly, Jason, but you will be forever with us, in our hearts and in our memories, and in the soft stars that shine at night.

I met Jason through my Dad, Allen.
Jason was such a nice man and he loved and talked about his son all the time.
The last memory I have with him was shared in Oregon where we got to watch the Elipse.
He's up there with my Dad now.
Here's some photos he sent me attached with a email.

Jason was a dear friend of mine in high school. We hungout all the time laughing - it was a constant. He was always so warm hearted and was always full of love and kindness.
It has been years since I saw him last but he always held a special place in my heart. The news of him passing tore me apart. I had hoped I would see him again. I will always cherish the friendship we had.
Much love to his friends in family. This is a big loss for all of us. He is deeply missed.

My sincerest condolences to his family.
I am deeply saddened by the loss of my friend and ally for 30 years.

He was quick-witted, clever, and kind. I have such fond memories of growing up together. His storytelling and reminiscing about days long past will remain an unfilled void in our lives.

I loved Jason and wish he had been able to reach his goals and find the life he desired.

May he and all his loved ones find peace.

Jason, myself, and one other UNR professor's son played primarily together at Peavine. Cherished memories! We called each other kangaroos.
