I already wrote, but I have to mention that I had the great honor to have Jack tell me some stories of his time during, I believe, WWII. He only referred to it as "the war". The events he shared only raised the bar further. I was in the presence of a hero. Sissy is finally with her daddy again. I will always love the Balfour family. I am truly sadden for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers. At a time like this I regret time has created distance between us, but certainly not less love and appreciation for how your family enriched my life.

Wow, a great loss. I can still hear his classical music playing while he worked on his airplanes. Jack, Flo and all the kids lived with us when they returned from Germany. They arrived just in time to take care of me, my two sisters and my brother when we all got the mumps at the same time. A military man through and through. To Flo, Bo, Deanie, Ray, Deborah, and Heather...I am so sorry for your loss. I am so glad I had the opportunity to visit with your mom and dad in the recent past. You all were a great part of my growing up years, thank you for that. My heart is heavy. Love to all.....Linda McKinney Berry

I remember Jack Balfour
Living with us when they returned from Germany
Working on his great hobby of model planes, building the balsa wood frames I remember how excited he got when the remote controls came out
He now is with my father, can see them now sitting at card table dealing cards and laughing
Bo, heather, Ray, Deany and Deborah Ann. I wish you the best.
You dad was one of the good guys

May your family find peace during this trying time. I was privileged to be one of the many kids you had a hand in raising! I cherish those memories. Here's to a life well lived. You are loved and will be greatly missed.
