Leonora Luchetti Obituary

Leonora Angelina Luchetti was called home to be with her God and guardian angels on October 12, 2010.
Leonora, fondly known to all as ‘LaLa Lenni," was born in Reno, Nevada on July 2nd, 1950. She spent most of her life living between Reno, Las Vegas and Dayton, Nevada. LaLa Lenni attended local schools, graduating 8th grade from Our Lady of Snows Catholic School and attended Wooster High and Whittel High in Zephyr Cove, Lake Tahoe.
Lenni began a career in the casino industry in the 1970's as a cocktail waitress and bartender/manager, using her love of people to always make customers feel like family. She never knew a friend that didn't become family. In the late 1970's, she joined her mother, Vita, who owned and operated the End of the Trail Saloon and Italian Restaurant. As her constant companion, together they befriended the residents of Dayton and Carson City, treating them to gourmet Italian meals, libations and friendly conversations. They were later joined by her younger brother Leo and what a team they made!
Our beloved Lenni will always be remembered for her ability to make any ‘house' she had into a ‘loving home.' She was an accomplished craft-maker and would uniquely decorate her home with crafts, knick-knacks, and linens making it extra warm, cozy and ‘home' as she welcomed all into it Then came the real treat! As you entered, you immediately caught the aroma of some fine Italian or other home-cooked, gourmet meal cooking on the stove as she beckoned you over for a ‘spoon-sample' before she invited you to stay and enjoy!
Leonora was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Vita Scrivani Hinman and her brother Bill Riordan. She is survived by her loving son, Zackary Pharris (Raquel), her grandson Trey; her father and step-mother, Leo and Donna Luchetti; her brother Leo Luchetti and his son Sevé, her step-brother Michael (Karen) Perry and their children Carey and Trenton; her step-brother Patrick (Karen) Perry and their children Tim, Tom and Tyler; and, so many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and good friends that are too numerous to count but that she loved dearly.
In honor of LaLa Lenni's love friendship and life, a memorial gathering will be held to celebrate her life and share loving memories and stories...bring yours! It will be held Sunday November 14, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Gold Canyon Steak House (formerly the End of the Trail), 160 Main Street in Dayton. It is a pot luck event so please bring your favorite dish. For details, please contact The Gold Canyon Steak House (775-246-7331), or Leo Luchetti (775-721-2507).

My dear cousin Lenni~
I will always remember your sweet face, your twinkling eyes and the way you would crinkle your nose when you would say something funny. And your voice! I always loved it when you called me "Virgy" no one ever said it cuter than you. You will be missed by many, and more than you could have ever known. Thank you for giving our family the gift of being able to love and be loved by such a sweet and special soul.
All my love~ Virgy
