Mildred Leola Muhle (Peggy) passed away in the early morning hours of August 7, 2015, a few weeks short of her 91st birthday. She was born September 14, 1924 in Oakland, California, where she lived with her parents and sisters. Peggy married Kurt Muhle moving to Reno, where they raised their four children. They were married for 36 years, remaining friends after their divorce.
Peggy worked for Nevada Bell in various positions retiring as a supervisor. She was friends with many of her Nevada Bell co-workers, and a proud lifelong member of the AT&T Pioneers.
Peggy's family has many fond memories of her, and everyone agrees her deviled eggs and chocolate cherry bars were the best ever! Her Christmas morning breakfast was a family favorite as were her stories and adventures, which were numerous.
Peggy loved her children and was devastated when three of them preceded her in death, Karl Muhle of Sparks, Susan West of Portola, and Linda Browne Dutra, Reno. She is survived by her son Douglas Muhle (Julie) of Sparks and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private celebration of life was held. In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations be made to the Nevada Humane Society.

I was so sorry to read of Peggy's passing. I worked in the same office as Peggy for a few years, on Terminal Way in Reno for Nevada Bell. My sympathies to all of her family.

Grandma, I miss you so very much. It's still hard to believe you are gone. I thank you for taking me in at a hard time in my life. I will always have wonderful holiday memories, eating sherbet out of the silver bowls, your chocolate cherry bars and deviled eggs. You loved my children so much. They have wonderful memories of you as well. I miss you and love you so much.
