Nicholas Brooks Obituary
Nick was born on March 30, 1988 in Reno. His sudden passing at the early age of 27 was unexpected. Nick was a Type 1 Diabetic and had difficulty maintaining his sugar levels and fighting infections, resulting on stress to his organs and heart.
Nick graduated from McQueen High School and went to work for the Club Cal Neva as a restaurant server and dealer. He had aspirations of learning more about the gaming business and advancing into casino management. Nick loved watching all sports, especially professional football and baseball. Nick's favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland A's. Nick loved to travel and had the opportunity to visit many places, including San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Disneyland, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, Monterey, Las Vegas, the Mexican Riviera, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and New Orleans.
Nick is survived by his mother Sherry Siri and her husband Jeff, his father Marc Brooks and his wife Stephanie, his sisters Francesca, Jessica, and Ashley, his grandparents Ethel Lee Martin and Dee Jackson, and an extended family of many aunts, uncles and cousins. Nick will be missed by all but he will be remembered as a fun loving person who enjoyed life.
Services for Nick will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Walton's Funeral Home, located at 875 West Second Street in Reno, followed by a reception at the Club Cal Neva.

I had the opportunity to coach Nick when he played prep Babe Ruth for the Reds and won the championship in 2001. Nick was a great kid with an wonderful sense of humor, he would always make everyone around him laugh. I would bump into him at high school football games and he would always come up and talk to me, and make me laugh. He was a great competitor and had a really good fastball. I'll miss you buddy, rest easy.
