Hi uncle paddy have been thinking of you lately. I remember being a little boy and having fun in your makeshift car park you my dad and uncle tim had going on. And how soft spoken you were. I remember you use to call me buddy. I remember the drives to go see you in Carson and going to eat with you and dad. I remember the last time we communicated on the phone and Facebook I wish I had just spoke with you one last time. That I wasn't so busy at the time with all my troubles. I love you uncle paddy and I will never forget you.

Like my brother, John Charles Odle, I also shared my birth father with Patrick (Paddy.) Paddy was just a baby when I got married in September of 1962 and I really never had the chance to really know him. I guess the last time I saw him was also at the funeral of our father in 1969. It would have been a pleasure to have known you. All your friends and relatives loved you very much. Hope we meet in another life.

Uncle "Paddy" was a man with a keen since of justice (and hatred of injustices). He had much love and forgiveness to give to others. He will be loved and missed...
I look forward to being with him in Paradise where injustices will be a thing of the past... Love you uncle Patrick.

Uncle "Paddy" was a good man with a keen sense of justice (and hatred of injustice).
He was full of love and forgiveness and great at moving past petty disagreements.
Some of my best memories are with him - just hanging out and chatting about the world, cars etc. or better yet cruising in one of his many cars...
I love you much uncle Paddy and will see you in Paradise - where there will be no more injustices that we all suffer through (including the STUPID cancers!!!).

I'm not real sure what to say. I have some memories of Patrick but I was so little the last time I saw him. All I know is when we lose someone who is so dear to our hearts we don't think we can go on without them. I have found out the hard way that life does go on...not the same life but a new normal that's what I have had to create since Martha went to be with our Lord. I am sure she was waiting @ the gates to welcome Patrick in. God be with you all in this time of sorrow and lose.
Your loving cousin,
Joy Hoock
