Una Lowson Obituary
LOWSON
Una Emily Lowson, 69, was called home to our Heavenly Father on April 4, 2009. Una's youngest daughter had passed less than two years ago. They are together again.
Una was born in Forfar, Scotland. She moved to Reno in 1963 with her devoted husband, Allan. Una loved Nevada, enjoyed the sunshine and friendly people. Anyone who met Una became her friend. She devoted much of her life to a career in the Dental industry. She was the bright smile that greeted many a patient throughout the years for Dentist‘s Caffetta, Davis, Lopp, Hackstaff, Brouner and Farnesi.
Una was very talented; she was President of The Dental Assistants Association for several years. She also organized and hosted wonderful fashion show events. Una was the backbone of her husband's two brick masonry companies Alscot Masonry and more recently Allan Lowson Brick Contractor.
Una is survived by her life partner and love, Allan F. Lowson; daughter, Kay Reimers and husband , Martin J. Reimers; granddaughter, Kelsey and grandson, Grant. They will miss their Nana.
Una was a devoted wife and amazing mother. As Allan said, “Una was my constant companion and lover in life.“
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Una Lowson's name to the Children's Cabinet, 1090 South Rock Blvd, Reno, Nevada 89521. A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Walton Funeral Home, 875 W. Second Street, Reno.
