John Leite Obituary

John M. Leite

John M. Leite, 90 of Charlestown, died peacefully on August 13, 2024. He was the husband of the late Shirley M. (Kearney) Leite. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John P. Leite and Mary T. (Olinik) Leite.

John was Director of Facilities Managers at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island for 25 years. He was a Communicant of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Wickford where he served as a member of the Vestry.

He was a member of the Westerly-Pawcatuck American Automobile Club of America, and a Past President of the Little Rhody Model A Club. John was an avid golfer, New York Yankees and Patriots fan. He was a

beloved member of his Charlestown neighborhood.

John leaves his loving children: Kimberly Leite-Calcione & her husband Frank of Charlestown, Bonnie E. Rudolph & her husband Charles of Scituate, and Daniel J. Reilly of Providence. He was the father of the late Jennifer L. Carney and father-in-law of the late Robert E. Morris. Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Doris Thibodeau. He was predeceased by his beloved dog Murphy.

His Requiem Eucharist will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery.

Calling Hours will be held Sunday, August 18th from the hours of 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to RICAN will be appreciated.
