BRAD STAPLES Obituary

BRAD STAPLES Richfield, Utah - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bradley Vance Staples, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully on August 15, 2024, at the age of 71. Brad will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, quick wit, and ability to bring joy or laughter to those around him. Brad grew up in a loving household, with his parents Rayola and Vance Staples, and brother Rodney Staples, where his passion for people and his persuasive nature began to blossom. Brad excelled in sales due to his genuine relationships and charismatic personality. He embarked on a successful career in sales right out of high school selling cars, flipping houses, owning his own insurance company, and then as a Real Estate Broker. Brad's colleagues often remarked that selling was not just his job, but his passion. His dedication earned him numerous awards and accolades throughout his career. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Brad was a great friend. He had a remarkable ability to lighten the mood with his infectious sense of humor. Whether it was a well-timed joke or inappropriate comment, he always knew how to make people smile. His friends often gathered around him, drawn by his magnetic personality and warmth he exuded. He was a loyal friend, always ready to lend an ear or offer advice. His favorite pastime was spending time at his Koosharem cabin, four wheeling, hunting, and fishing. His legacy will live on through his children as he instilled values of kindness, resilience, and a strong work ethic in each of their lives. His children will miss his extremely high expectations and encouragement to be as successful as possible. Brad had a son Troy. Later he met and married Dede Coleman, and they had three daughters: Toni, Madeline, and Annie. Brad and Dede later divorced. Years later he married Nancie Godley Freeborn. She brought her children: Janessa, Jacob, Camisha, Wesley, Anne, Daken, Lanae, Ty, Shawna, and Scott, and they blended families. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rayola and Vance Staples; wife, Nancie Godley Staples. He is survived by his brother Rodney (Cindy) Staples; his children: Troy (Madi) Leyba, Toni (Tyson) Leyba, Madeline (Eddie) Lee, Annie (Eric) Chidester, Janessa Godley, Jake (Karly) Freeborn, Camisha (Shawn) Reed, Wess Freeborn, Anne Valae, Daken Freeborn, Lanae (Gary) York, Ty Freeborn, Shawna (Doyle) Adams, Scott (Suzy) Freeborn, and numerous grandchildren. The family would like to thank all the staff of Stonehenge and Zion's Way Home Health and Hospice for their heartfelt care, and all of the love shown from family, friends, and the community during this difficult time. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 24 at 11 a.m. at Magleby Mortuary in Richfield.
