James MacDonald Obituary

James T. MacDonald, age 80, of 324 Jackson Ave., Ridgway, died Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Penn Highlands Elk. He was born December 30, 1940, in Ridgway, son of the late Maurice F. and Mary H. (Keilocker) MacDonald. He married Julie A. (Judy) McQuone on November 21, 1964, she preceded him in death on December 15, 2017. He resided in Ridgway all his life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church and the Elks. He was a graduate of Ridgway High School and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He had been employed by Erie Industrial Trucks for over 20 years.

He is survived by 2 sons Gary I. (Laurie) MacDonald of Ridgway and Matthew M. MacDonald of Ridgway, 3 grandchildren Megan, Ben, and Neil, 1 sister Marjorie R. Robinson of St. Marys, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 5 sisters: Helen Powell, Grace Gregory, Anne Kennedy, Marianne Drathman, Ruth Krizan and 5 brothers: John, Bill, Joe, Neil, and Ed MacDonald.

A Memorial Mass for James T. MacDonald will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Ridgway Public Library or to the Ridgway YMCA.
