Patrick Walsh Obituary

Patrick J. (Waxy) Walsh, 70, of 301 Metoxet St., Ridgway, died Thursday afternoon June 15, 2017 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 25, 1946 in Ridgway, son of the late James R. and Virginia H. (Hayes) Walsh. He resided in Ridgway most of his life and was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the Ridgway Elks Lodge #872. He was a graduate of Ridgway High School and Point Park in Pittsburgh. He had been employed by North Central in Ridgway for several years, and The Rochester Psychiatric Center and WHAM Radio, both in Rochester, New York.
He is survived by two sons, Sean P. Walsh of Charlottesville, Virginia and Matthew L. Walsh of Rochester, New York. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Lee Walsh in 1991.
A Celebration of Life for Patrick J. (Waxy) Walsh and his father, James R. (Waxy) Walsh, will be held at the Ridgway Elks Club on Monday evening, June 19 from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Thayer Memorial Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials, if desired, can be made to the Ridgway Ambulance Corp. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home.
