Veronica Carley Obituary
Born April 23, 1915, in St. Marys, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Catherine Dempsey Caskey.
Mrs. Carley, a 1933 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in St. Marys, was a homemaker and also had worked at the former Arcade Restaurant in Kane. She was a member of St. Callistus Catholic Church.
Surviving are six sons, Paul "Jake" (June) Carley Jr. of Ludlow, Kenny (Ginny) Carley of Pensacola, Fla., Howard (Joanne) Carley of Forney, Texas, Dennis "Andy" Carley of Mesa, Ariz., John "Munch" (Betty) Carley and Joe "Mike" (Pam) Carley, both of Kane; a daughter-in-law, Carol Carley of North East; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Carley Sr.; a daughter, Cleora Carley; two sons, Thomas "Tom" Carley and James "Pat" Carley; and two sisters, Isabelle Caskey and Henrietta "Lady" Hanes.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Veronica C. "Hubby" Carley will be celebrated Friday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Philip Pinczewski, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Callistus Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon, after funeral services, which will be at the Colonial Inn.
Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc., 151 Greeves St., Kane on Thursday, March 12 from 7-9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital, 1645 W. 8th St., Erie, Pa. 16505.
