Cecil Wright Obituary

Cecil W. Wright, of Daleville, a quiet Christian man, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009. He retired from GE after serving 28 years. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Sherrie M. Wright (2002); parents, Isaac and Sarah Guthrie Wright; two brothers and two sisters. Cecil is survived by his devoted wife, Muriel R. Wright; daughter, Mikie Leech and her husband, Jim, of Stuarts Draft, Va.; brothers, Lee (Ruth) Wright and Franklin (Ramona) Wright; sisters, Clydie Guilliams, Blanche (Wilford) Hodges, Beulah (Thurston) Eatmon, Beatrice Ware and Betty Jane (O.B.) Shelton; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends are welcome to call Wednesday, February 25, 2009, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. following visitation in Rader's Chapel. Interment Daleville Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Troutville Rescue Squad, 20 Sunset Avenue, Troutville, Va. 24175. Cecil's family wish to give a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff on 3 West at Richfield nursing home for their compassionate care during the last five years. Arrangements by Rader Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
