Charles Edward (Buddy) Leech Jr., 67, of Roanoke, Va., died Thursday, December 25, 2008. Funeral service 11 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008, at New Hope Christian Church. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131.

I am so sorry. Your family is so wonderful and Buddy will be so missed. When I think of Buddy, I think of quiet and sweet. He was such a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I did not know Mr. Leech personally but I knew of the love and admiration for him through conversations with his son, my co-worker, Keith Tyree. My heartfelt condolences are with you all as I know he will be sorely missed.

I served with Charles in the Navy and never knew he lived in Roanoke, I moved here in 1985, I am sorry that I never remembered that he was from Roanoke, it would have been great for us to meet again after all those years.
