Christopher ROUTH Obituary
He was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Atlas Crowder, and Charlie Routh; great-grandmother, Annie Routh; great-aunt, May Harshberger; and special love, Erin Leigh Franklin.
Surviving family includes his mother, Janet R. Horn, of Buchanan; father, Randal C. Routh, of Randleman, N.C.; stepfather, Talmage R. Horn, of New Castle; children, Jacob Routh, Spencer Brown and Landon Routh; sisters, Kimberly Foutz and husband, Gary, of Troutville, and Krystal Silver, of North Carolina; brothers, Randal "Chad" Routh and wife, Lauren, of Hardy, and T.J. Horn, of Hardy; grandparents, Norman and Faye Farlow and Rose Routh, all of North Carolina; two nieces; three nephews; special friend, Cheyenne Brown; and numerous aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the Lotz Funeral Home Chapel in Vinton with Mr. Terry Moran officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to cover funeral costs. Online condolences may be made to the family at www. lotzfuneralhomevinton.com

Hardy and the rest of the world are at a tremendous loss today. It was my pleasure to grow up across the street from Chris, Kim, Chad and T.J. Some of the fondest moments of my life happened down that gravel road with Chris and the others in our neighborhood. I still cannot wrap my mind around this and my heart goes out to the Horn and Routh families, Cheyenne and Chris' children. I'm not sure that there are any words that will make this better but I hope that time will heal the pain. Chris was a good soul and he will be missed dearly by all that knew him.
