Daniel L. Ray

August 5, 1952 - September 3, 2024

Daniel Lee Ray, 72, husband of Linda Jo Hood Ray, went to be with the Lord on September 3, 2024. He was the son of the late William E. and Vernie Moore Ray, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William E. Ray, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Jo Hood Ray; his daughter, Patricia Ann "Patty" Ray; sister, Judy Kelly; brother, Jeffrey Dean Ray; as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, with Elwood Nunley and Pastor Jeff Gardner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
