Douglas "Pete" Carl Dowe, 96, educator and beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025
A public viewing will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, from 1 until 5 p.m., at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Salem, Va. Live Streaming will be available from the Hamlar-Curtis website. Click "View Live Streaming Here" at the top of the screen, then select "Facebook Live Stream - Roanoke/View All Videos". The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Dowe was my Principal at Lincoln Terrace back in the 1973 and was a very nice man, I also went to High School with his son Brian who was also very nice. Prayers for you and your family.Brian if you are on Facebook hit me up.
