Edith Louise B. Hamblett

Edith Louise B. Hamblett, 85, of Roanoke, went to be with The Lord, and to join her beloved of 62 years, Everette B. Hamblett, on Saturday, December 18, 2010. Mrs. Hamblett was a former employee of Sears. She and her husband, Everette, had a doll shop for many years at Happy's Flea Market . She was a member of Shenandoah Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, Dee-Maw and Dee-Dee. She leaves behind a loving family, her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn H. and Bobby L. Woolwine, of Salem; sons and daughters-in-law, Victor L. and Cynthia L. Hamblett, of Salem, Mark B. and Judy Hamblett, of High Point, N.C.; grandchildren, Kerri Anne Sitze (Jeff), Tammy M. Cornwall (Derek), Heather L. Sauls (Rob), Bryanne K. Hamblett, Christopher R. Taylor (Laura), Jason L. Woolwine (Amy); great-grandchildren, Meredith Sitze, Benjamin Sitze, Hannah Cornwall, Addison Cornwall, Nathan Sauls, Jack Sauls, Abigail Taylor, Carson Taylor and Riley Woolwine; along with three special nieces, Barbara Loyd, Janice Cassell, and Norma Alley. Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Albin Crutchfield will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
