Fannie Webb Obituary
Fannie Mae Paige Webb, born on August 29, 1921, age 100 years and eight months, of Bent Mountain, died peacefully at home in Salem, in the early morning of Friday, May 6, 2022, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Webb.
Fannie is survived by two sons, Lonnie Webb (Emma) and Richard Webb (Bo); five daughters, Martha Whorley, Joann Hamlett (Harold), Jeanette Webb, Alice Hunt, and Rowena Reddick (Steve); daughters-in-law, Mary Webb and Mildred Webb; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Fannie was a life member of the Bent Mountain Baptist Church. She was born on Bent Mountain, Va., and lived there her entire life. She was the last surviving sibling of 13 born to the late Otha and Nancy Paige.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Bent Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Wallis Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
