Forrest Reynolds Obituary

The Rev. Forrest P. Reynolds, D.D., 91, of Rocky Mount, Va. and formerly of Annapolis, Md., passed away Sunday, October 15, 2006. The Rev. Reynolds began his ministry in 1940 and retired 50 years later. He was the pastor of numerous churches including The Mother Church of Mothers' Day in Grafton, W.Va., Riviera Beach Community United Methodist Church, Ryland Epworth United Methodist Church, Pasadena United Methodist Church, and retired from The Silver Spring Memorial United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward S. and Clara Edwina Reynolds; one son, Forrest P. Reynolds, Jr. in 2001; five brothers; and five sisters. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hancock Reynolds; grandchildren, Jennifer and Caroline; sister, Jean Scott, of Newport News, Va.; and 29 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Robert Edwards and the Rev. DeRoy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Church of the Brethren Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, Va. 24151.
