Dear Ann and Family,
We are so filled with gratitude to have known Gary even a little bit. THe proof of the pudding is often the children and what beautiful lessons Laura has taught us all this last month. Dear Ann and Family
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I did not know Mr. Laing very well, but I truly respected him for his dedication to educating the people of Wythe County.

My family and I are very sorry to hear of your loss. Our dad passed away Tuesday in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Our thoughts and prays are with you. We know exactly how you feel. My sister and I had Mrs. Laing at Speedwell School and my husband Dewey Clemons went to school with your daughter Melissa. I have heard him mention her name often. Again our thoughts and prays are with you. And know that both my dad and your husband and father are in a much better place with no more pain or suffering. Love, Angie Clemons and family

Dear Ann words can not say how sadden I was to learn of Gary's death he was a special and wonderful person. My mind went back to the day he took you to see the house that he was going to make into your home that was overgrown and I remember him telling you not to worry everything would be perfect when he finished and it was.
I admired how much he loved you and the girls then the boys. He will be there with you every step of the way even now. If ever I can do anything please let me know. Please know that you, the girls and the boys are in my thoughts and prayers.
