Howard William Bean

Howard William Bean, 90, of Moneta, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was a member of Mt. Ivy Christian Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Juanita Bean; son, William Howard Bean and wife, Deborah B. Bean; daughter, Nancy Jones and husband, Larry Jones; four grandchildren, Chad and Cory Bean and Derek and Dayton Jones; four great- grandchildren; brother, Raymond Bean; sister, Evelyn Blevins; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Steve Pasley officiating. The interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends one hour before the service Friday at Oakey's North Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the VA Veterans Hospital for their loving care.
