James Buck Obituary

James (Jamie ) Buck Jr., 52, of Hardy passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011. Jamie grew up in the Cave Spring area. Jamie's passion in life was his family, riding his Harley motorcycle and being a long distance truck driver. He was a long time member of the Harley's Owners Group. (H.O.G.) Jamie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence and June Aliff, Meriel Buck Phillips; mother-in-law, Yvonne Robertson. Jamie is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Margaret Buck, of Hardy. They would have celebrated their 28th anniversary on September 24,2011. Also surviving Jamie is his loving son, Christopher and his wife , Priscilla; daughters, Tricia, Bella Faie; parents, James and Patricia Buck, of Salem; brother and best friend, Gary A. Buck and wife, Mary Robin and their children, Jacob and Jessica, of Moneta; father-in-law, Carroll Robertson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Edwards; nephew, Ryan Edwards, who was like a son; aunts, Marie Lynch, of Lynchburg, Gale Greene and husband, of Charles Town, W.Va.; uncles, Butch Aliff, of Salem, and Ronnie Lynch, of Lynchburg; best friends, Sarah Chambers and David Hall. Jamie never met a stranger and never turned his back on a person in need (his door was always opened to those who needed his help and a place to stay), especially children. A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, with Pastor Jay Fields and Gilbert J. Henshaw officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.

Jimmy, Pat, Gary and family, I was shocked and so sorry to hear of Jamie's passing. You were truly great neighbors and Jamie and Gary were always nice boys, when you saw one you saw the other, sounds like this was still the case. I can still hear Pat calling them for dinner, "James Anthony", "Gary Harwood" come in rigt now! Please accept my condolences and God Bless all of you.

Jamie was one of the greatest men I ever met. He always had kind words and great advice. My life will be greatly changed now that he is gone. All my love goes to the Buck family. We will truly miss him.
