Michael Alan Day, 64, of Fincastle, VA, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024, with a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, both at Oakey's, North Chapel, (540) 362-1237.

I met Mike through Relay For Life of Botetourt. I would see him occasionally for the next 10 years and I knew he was struggling, but he was always upbeat. I send my love, prayers, and sincere sympathy to Carolyn and all of his family.

I traveled parts of the MABDR with Mike. I remember Merton him at Tub Run. We got caught in the rain that day and the bunch of us ended up in an AirB&B. He was good to chat with during the evening there. Condolences.
