Mike Duddy Obituary
January 17, 1947 - June 13, 2024
Mike Duddy passed away in the care of the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, Va., on June 13, 2024. He was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Mike was born in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and was raised in the Antioch Community near Ruston, La. He was a graduate of Simsboro High School and Louisiana Tech University and retired with the rank of Captain in the U.S. Air Force before settling in Roanoke, Va., with his wife, Jeanne in 1972. They were married from 1970-2006 and raised two sons. Mike owned and operated multiple businesses, and was an active member of the Moose Lodge in Vinton, Va. He loved to read, bowl, golf, sing, dance, and watch sports.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Beth Duddy; sister, Sharon Duddy Tolin; and son, Kevin Michael Duddy. He is survived by his ex-wife, Jeanne, son, Shane (Anne), and three granddaughters. Additionally, he is survived by his partner, Doris Rees; his sister, Karen Duddy Alfinito (Joe), nieces, nephews, grandnieces and cousins.
A memorial service will be held for Mike on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery, Cooktown Road. Following the service everyone is invited to gather for refreshment and friendship at the Antioch Community Church Fellowship Hall (3406 Hwy 544).
In memoriam, the family asks for any monetary donations to be sent to Antioch Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 284, Simsboro, La, 71275.

I worked with Mike as members of Roanoke Catholic Athletic Assoc. . He was a hard worker full of ideas. His son Kevin and my son Brian were friends. May he rest in peace.
