I first met you when I was 11 years old, while I was at Joy Ranch. Thank you for all the good decisions that you helped make while you were on the Board of Directors at Joy Ranch. You have influenced my life while I was down in the valley. I will remember that the rest of my life. Also, thank you for being such a good friend to me for 30 years.

To the M. C. Cockerham Family,

I was a former employee of Gulf Oil
when Mr. Cockerham was a distributor
and I have many fond memories of
him when he would come to Roanoke
for meetings. He was a fine gentle-
man, and my thoughts and prayers
are with your family at this time.
I moved to Richmond when the office
in Roanoke combined with the one in
Richmond. I then decided to retire
and stay home with our daughter
while she was growing up and into
her teens. My family moved to
Texas and then back to North Carolina. When my husband retired
from the military and the federal government as a civilian employee
we retired back in Roanoke where I
was born and grew up. We have your
family in our thoughts and prayers.
Charlene Crouch Harvey and Husband,
Robert L. Harvey, Roanoke, Va.

What a beautiful memory of a life fully lived and lived so as to serve as a roll model for us all. His commitment to his country, his family, his community, his church -- the list goes on, will always be remembered. I loved the energy, enthusiasm and curiosity which he applied to his life interests. What a beautiful legacy for his wonderful family.

Milo was a very kind and generous friend who shared not only his tomato plants with us but his memories of WWII and Normandy with the students of Woodlawn School so that they might have an insight into history. May he rest in peace. Good bye old friend.
