Randy Swisher Obituary

Randy Ellis Swisher, 60, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow B. Swisher Sr. and Leola "Tommy" Swisher.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kimberly Shelton Swisher; son, Robert Neal Shelton and wife, Kayla; daughter, Megan Marie Swisher; son, Tommy Ellis Swisher; brother, W. Buddy Swisher and wife, Charlotte; grandchildren, Dylan, Makenna and Baby Barefield; nieces, Heidi Lewis and husband, Tony; nephew, Jammie Swisher and wife, Candace; dog, Clifford; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday at Oakey's North from 2 until 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in memory of Randy to Amvets of the Sons, Post 40, 911 Tazewell Ave., Roanoke, VA 24013. Online condolences may be made to www.oakeys.com.

I didn't know that Randy had passed. He was a true spirit, full of life. I pray that all is well with the family and know Randy is in a better place. He made us laugh and feel welcome MANY times. Thank you for the memories.
