Robert Earls Obituary
April 28, 1932 - February 2, 2023
Robert "Bob" Joseph Earls Sr. of Salem, Va., peacefully passed away, on February 2, 2023.
Bob was born on April 28, 1932, in Squire, W.Va. Bob served in the Korean War and was extremely proud of his service to his country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beatrice Earls; one son, Tony Rodney Earls; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarence and Clara Earls, and Otis and Edith Earls; and his first wife, Marie Weeks Earls Dalton.
He is survived by two sons, Robert J. Earls Jr, (Diane) of Roanoke, and Michael D. Earls of Troutville, Va., seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Betty DiVecchia (Gary), several nieces and nephews, and Joyce Edwards, former wife and devoted friend.
Bob loved his family and was a very hard worker. He loved music, dancing and North Myrtle Beach.
The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at the Palliative Care Center of Carilion RMH and all the team at Richfield Retirement Center where Bob spent the last ten years of his life.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date, he will be interred at the Veterans' Cemetery in Dublin, Va.

I enjoyed getting to know Robert Earls during the time of 2010 to2012 my mom was on the same floor with him May God bless his family Give them strength and ability to grieve healthy

I always enjoyed visiting and bantering with Bob when I visited my Mom at Richfield. He invited me into his room and showed me pictures and memorabilia. I saw him at the reception desk a couple weeks ago and teased with him. He was a sweet man. I´m sorry for your loss.
