May 4, 1951 - July 2, 2025
Roma Cecilia Willis-Turner, 74, of Roanoke, VA, surrounded by loved ones, departed her earthly home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford N. Willis, Sr. and Georgia Camille Miller Willis; brother, Maurice F. Willis; and sister, Evette T. Willis.
She is survived by her husband, Harding "Toby" Turner; daughter, Romane N. Willis; son, A. Tee Willis (Deidre); grandchildren, Nyia D. Willis, Oshae' A. Willis, Akeyra' T. Willis, Vincient R. Keeling, Ja-Cori' A. Willis, and Sincere M. Willis; sisters, Altermease W. Brown (James), Brenda M. Willis, Deborah W. Terry, Gerardia M. Willis (Essex Watkins), and Michelle Willis-Harden; brothers, Clifford N. Willis II, and Jerome M. Willis (Saba); godson, Clifford N. Willis III; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel. Live Streaming will be available from the Hamlar-Curtis website. We were sorry to hear of Roma's passing. She was an all-important tenor with the St. Gerard Gospel Choir, whose interpretation of "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" at Christmastime was memorable.
