Sheila Marie Butler Spraker

Sheila Marie Butler Spraker, 67, of New Castle, VA, passed on June 20, 2024. She was born on March 8, 1957, in Waterville, ME to the late Robert and Estelle Butler.

She followed her husband Tom "Bo" Spraker from New Hampshire to Virginia and became his wife, companion, and counselor for over forty-eight years. She was the love of his life, and he is heartbroken, empty and lonely without her.

Sheila was more generous than most, kind and loving. Tom told her God needed someone like her in heaven and that if she didn't make it, there was little chance for the rest of us.

She loved animals, dogs, horses, and even cats, and was always worried about her babies. She will be missed for her cooking. Especially her lasagna, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinners. She was a fantastic cook and hostess, and her coworkers always asked for her pimento cheese. She said fixing dishes for people was her way of showing love. Sheila will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Nichole Huffman (Dale) and Rachel Spraker (Christina) - she raised them and loved them with all her heart; sister, Debra Dubay of North Berwick, ME; nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.

She asked that in lieu of flowers, make a contribution to an animal rescue association.
