Stephen Kennedy Obituary

Mr. Stephen Lester Kennedy Jr. died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 11, 2008, at his home. A Guilford County native, Mr. Kennedy was born on December 7, 1970, the son of Stephen Lester Kennedy Sr. and Nancy Casper Kennedy. He was employed by Deka Battery Co. Surviving are his mother, Nancy C. Kennedy, of Kernersville; his father, Stephen L. Kennedy Sr. and his wife, Jewel, of Penhook, Va.; two sisters, Refaye Crawford and her husband, Mitchell, and Lisa Gilbert, all of Kernersville; stepbrother, Christopher Creech, of Stokesdale; nieces, Michelle Crawford, and Hope Crawford; and nephews, Kenneth Grant Gilbert, Michael Taylor Gilbert, and Hayden Creech. A funeral service for Mr. Kennedy will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at Stokesdale Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening at Forbis & Dick Brooke Chapel in Stokesdale. Online condolences may be offered at www.forbisanddick.com.
