Connie L. Locklear
PEMBROKE — Ms. Connie Louise Locklear, 43, of 500 Lowery St., Pembroke, was born June 14, 1971 and died on Nov. 10, 2014, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Locklear family cemetery, the Rev. Dufrene Cummings officiating.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. Henry C. and Mrs. Lula D. Locklear; her maternal grandparents, Mr. Robert and Mrs. Felicia Norton; and the father of her only son, Mr. Darius Duckery Jones.
Ms. Locklear was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend.
Surviving are her son, Mr. Donavon "Duke" Locklear of Maxton; her parents, Mr. Wade and Mrs. Judy Locklear of Maxton; a sister, Ms. Wendy Lynn Locklear; two brothers, Mr. Stephen Wade Locklear and Mr. Christopher Lynn Locklear; her special friend, Mr. Matthew Brooks of the home; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
