EARL LOCKLEAR
LUMBERTON — Mr. Earl Locklear, 80, of Lumberton, departed this life early morning on Sunday, May 8, 2022, with his family at his side.
Earl was born in Lumberton, on Aug. 15, 1941, to the late John B. and Alma W. Locklear.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Locklear; his son, John Locklear and wife, Kandace; and his daughter, Stephanie Clark, all of Lumberton.
Earl began his own business in the early 1970s in Lumberton, where his journey as a mechanic soared to one of the most reputable in this area. There wasn't anything that he would turn away to help his community.
On behalf of the family, we thank each and every one of you for the support and prayers. We are very lucky to have you all in our lives.
The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 3 to 4 p.m. at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. Fifth St. in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. with Rev. Jackson Locklear and Rev. Rocky Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Lumbee Memorial Gardens in Lumberton.
