James Brixey
ST. PAULS — Mr. James Carey Brixey, 64, of St. Pauls, passed away on March 19, 2014, at Southeastern Health in Lumberton.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Holiness Church in Lumberton, the Rev. Bob Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
He was born on Aug. 31, 1949, in Robeson County to the late Lawrence Eugene Brixey and the late Mary Powers Brixey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Brixey.
Mr. Brixey is survived by his wife, Mary Brixey of the home; a son, Carey Brixey of St. Pauls; a daughter, Dana Brixey of Lumberton; two brothers, Charles Brixey (Kay) and Tommy Brixey, all of Lumberton; a sister, Wanda O'Neal (Charles) of Raleigh; his father and mother-in-law, Howard and Shirley Clewis of Lumberton; his brother and sister-in-laws, Buddy Clewis, Ted Flowers and Michele Clewis-Flowers of Lumberton, and Peggy Brixey of Aberdeen; and three grandchildren, Jamison Brixey, Madison Brixey and Nickolas Rozier.
The visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, 809 E Fifth St. in Lumberton.
