James Hout Obituary
Born in Green River, Wyoming, Jim served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 to 1970. He worked as a cowboy, ranch hand, and later as a machinist and welder in the trona mines. In 1992, he married Joanna Shupe, and they later settled in Delta, Colorado.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, known for his integrity, strength, and loyalty. He lovingly cared for Joanna during her illness and faced his own battle with Parkinson's with courage.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Linda and Joanna, and his son Eric. He is survived by his son Jason; stepchildren Ray (Rebecca) Shupe and Elizabeth (Byron) Droge; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Delta City Cemetery.
