Edward Casady Obituary

Edward Lee Casady, 81, of Parnassas, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Sentara RMH Medical Center. He was born on August 29, 1944 and was a son of the late Norman Lee and Zula Gertrude (Reeves) Casady. Edward was a simple man who loved his family and community. He was a farmer, and after he retired he worked for the Co-op and for Augusta County at the dump station. He was an avid bear and coon hunter. Edward was united in marriage to the love of his life, Doris Jean (Armentrout) Casady, for 60 years. Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children, Wendy Perry and husband Arnold, Tim Casady and wife Angie, and Sandy Bailey; his sister, Rhonda Casady; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl Casady, and Richard "Dickie" Casady; and a sister, Carolyn Shifflett. All services will be private.
