Susan Collier Obituary
ROANOKE, VA. - Susan Holberg Collier, 59, of Roanoke, (formerly of Rocky Mount, N.C.) went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Margaret Holberg.
Susan served in the U.S. Air Force for eight years. She was employed for many years as an LPN.
Surviving are her son, Robert Phillips and wife Jessica; granddaughters, Makenzie, Brittany, and Destiny Phillips; long lost soulmate, Pat Vermillion; brother, Robert Holberg and her loving and devoted dog, Ren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
A celebration of Susan's life will be held 4 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until servicetime. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory.
