Carl Perry Obituary

Mr. Carl Dexter Perry, Jr. age 80, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on August 10, 2025.

Carl was born in Crossville, Tennessee, on January 25, 1945, son of the late Carl Dexter Perry, Sr. and the late Eva Lee Hyder Perry. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Maddux. Mr. Perry's wife, Theresa Anne Howard Perry, passed away on August 11, 2025.

Carl was a civil engineer for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. He earned his degree at Tennessee Tech with a civil engineering degree. He was a member of the Fellowship Church where he served as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include his sons, Kendall Perry, Lee Pery (Leanne) and Stephen Perry (Erin); grandchildren, Carter Anne, Ryan, Andrew, Vivian, Sam, Ben, Luke, Nicholas, Paxton, and Lydia; brother Mike Perry (Janet); and sister-in-law Ellen Guidry (Gary Guidry, M.D.)

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 12:30pm, at Fellowship Church at 314 Burnett Ferry Road Rome, GA with Pastor Dale Levan officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 10:30am until 12:15pm at Fellowship Church.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, has charge of the arrangements for Mr. Carl Dexter Perry, Jr.
