Gene Wiggins Obituary
Mr. Wiggins was born on May 23, 1938, son of the late Raymond Wilbur Wiggins and the late Ruby Pearl Wimpee Wiggins. He was a member of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Armuchee High School, and he served in the National Guard for 15 years. Prior to his retirement he served his community as a Fireman for the City of Rome for 35 years and he was also head of the Fireman's Charity Fund.
Survivors include his sons, Ramond "Randy" Wiggins (Halie) and Doug Wiggins; his grandchildren, Raymond Wiggins, Jr. (Kayla) and Josh Wiggins; his great grandchildren, Emma Wiggins, Addie Wiggins, and Austin Wiggins; his brother Spencer Wiggins (Jerry); nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Mac McCurry officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am until the hour of service on Monday, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel.
