Terry Garner Obituary

Terry Franklin Garner, age 77, of Senoia, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025.

Born on April 21, 1948, in Dawson, Georgia, Terry was the son of the late Audrey Pruitt and John Lewis Garner. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lana Garner, as well as his siblings Pat (Euzeal), John (Kim), Marsha (Phil Brown), Mike (Renee'), Joel (Yvonne), and Teresa (Brian Jones).

Terry proudly served four years in the United States Army before beginning a career in law enforcement, where he dedicated more than 20 years of service before his retirement. A faithful and longtime member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle, Terry lived a life marked by kindness, sincerity, and devotion to Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janelle Garner of Senoia; his children, Mark Garner, Jennifer (Michael) Morrow of Senoia, and Zack (Faith) Wheeler of Newnan; and his grandchildren, Nathan Garner, Andrew Garner, Laney Morrow, and Libbey Morrow and his siblings; David Holcomb, and Jim Garner. He will also be remembered with love by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

A funeral service, officiated by Dr. Joe Arthur, will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 3, at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM. Following the service, Terry will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery.
