Marilyn Robertaccio Obituary

Marilyn Joyce (Miller) Robertaccio, born November 25, 1936, returned to the arms of the Lord on April 21, 2025.

Marilyn was the daughter of Steward G. Miller and Bertha Mabel Banks, and the sister of Stuart (Thelma) Miller. Marilyn graduated from New Hartford High School in 1954 and Potsdam State Teachers College in 1958 with High Honors. She started teaching first grade in the New Hartford School system and she would go on to teach in the Utica Public Schools, namely Wetmore, Seymour, and General Herkimer Elementary Schools.

In April 1960 she was joined with Frank Robertaccio in a loving marriage of 65 years that blessed her with three children: George Robertaccio, Joseph Robertaccio, and Susan Robertaccio-Morreale.

She enjoyed making Christmas Wreaths, swimming, Syracuse Basketball, playing cards and watching the Yankees. Among her many friends were Cosmo and Joyce Semeraro, Tom Gehrig, Chet and Jean Potempa and Terry and Maureen West.

Marilyn's granddaughter Catherine was born with cerebral palsy and Marilyn faithfully assisted and nursed her for many years.

Though she was a practicing Baptist, Marilyn stepped forward and taught religious education at Saint Peters Catholic Church when no one else volunteered.

She is survived by her husband Frank, her children and her grandchildren Christina Caraco, Jillian (Steve) Caraco-Szeliga, Francis Robertaccio, Kimberly (Michael) Robertaccio-Richoux, Catherine Robertaccio, Gaetano Morreale, and Gabriella Morreale and two great-grandchildren Elliott Richoux and Charlotte Szeliga.

She also leaves her three nieces Tracy (Jim) Ryder, Cheryl Brown and Karen (Eric) Espenhahn and their families.

She is predeceased by her parents, in-laws (George and Catherine Robertaccio), brother and sister-in-law (Stuart & Thema Miller), daughter-in-law (Linda Robertaccio) and nephew (Jim Brown).

The family would like to thank Sitrin Health Care Center, Masonic Care Community, cousins Michelle Gulla and Camille Buccina, as well as friends and family for love and support.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes Inc. 40 main St. Whitesboro. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Debbie Kelsy of Tabernacle Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery,

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Upstate Caring Partners, 125 Business Park Drive, Utica, NY 13502 in Marilyn's memory. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home

Was a very good Christian for helping her disabled granddaughter and teaching religious education in the Catholic church.
